On June 25, the Korea Center of Greenville hosted the 76th Anniversary Commemoration of the Korean War at the Greenville County Council Chambers.

Together, we honored the brave men and women whose sacrifice defended freedom and democracy in Korea. A special highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Ambassador for Peace Medal, awarded by the Government of the Republic of Korea to ten Korean War veterans. It was a deeply moving moment for the recipients and their families.

Korea has never forgotten their service and sacrifice. Their courage and devotion made today’s Republic of Korea possible. We remain forever grateful
